I found an inchworm today on my shoe, and I let him ride around on my thumb.
Inchworms make good temporary pets because they are fairly active sometimes, but other times they stay very still, so they can perch on you. Plus, the way they squinch around and have those big cute eyes, they are very cute. Clearly. I like them.
I gave the inchworm a bath in the sink and then let him go in my mint.

That's about the cutest thing I've heard in a long time. I want a pet inch worm now, but I have a feeling there are non around in the sub 0 weather we are currently enjoying in Michigan.
